As a Chinese-American artist,
my work synthesizes Eastern and Western cultural perspectives through a visual language rooted in expressive mark-making and dynamic color relationships. My practice encompasses landscapes, portraiture, and narrative compositions that document both observed reality and the emotional resonance of lived experience.
My artistic development has been profoundly shaped by an extensive network of international residencies spanning Lithuania, Italy, the Netherlands, Latvia, the United States, Iceland, Macedonia, and Finland. These immersive cultural exchanges have resulted in a prolific body of work across multiple media—including painting, sculpture, and printmaking—each informed by distinct geographical and cultural contexts.
Through strategic engagement with local communities via exhibitions, artist talks, and public demonstrations, my practice functions as both personal exploration and cultural bridge-building. I utilize travel and cross-cultural encounter as primary research methodologies, translating these experiences into visual narratives that interrogate themes of identity, place, and belonging.
